Dr. Scott Harrington completed his undergraduate education at the United States Military Academy at West Point. He obtained his Osteopathic Medicine degree from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in Pennsylvania in 2003. There he was trained in holistic Osteopathic Principles that a person is an interrelated unit of body, mind, and spirit.
Dr. Scott Harrington, DO then completed his Family Medicine internship and residency training in 2006 at Womack Army Medical Center in Fort Bragg North Carolina. There he was classically trained to treat common conditions for all age groups including pediatrics, adolescent, adult and geriatrics in the office and hospital setting. Dr. Harrington was also trained in well woman and obstetric (OB) care.
He later served in the US Army as a Family Medicine Physician to Special Forces Soldiers, working as a Flight Surgeon for pilots and elite paratroopers, Dive Medical Officer trained in hyperbaric chamber operations for Special Forces divers, and being deployed to remote locations in Afghanistan for over 2 years. Dr. Scott Harrington DO has triaged and treated Soldiers wounded in combat and has led over 20 Physicians and Physician Assistants during wartime. He is currently a Colonel in the US Army Reserves and continues to serve with distinction.
Dr. Harrington looks forward to sharing his diverse expertise with patients of all ages and supporting their journey toward optimal health and wellness. He’s passionate about minimizing the impact of aging, illness, and injury to help patients stay as active and healthy as possible throughout their lives. He is currently accepting new patients and welcomes them to Vegan Primary Care.
